Will you let love in?

Hardships often have us building walls.
Pain often asks us to draw our guard to protect who we think we are.
The funny thing is, we'd be so much better off if we did what's counterintuitive; if we leaned in.
If we soften, hardness no longer survives.
If we open, those big barriers have no power to keep lightness out.
If we lean in to those often very challenging emotions, when we feel wronged or hurt,
those emotions actually dissolve and we become peace.
We become free the moment we choose not to fight with our mind and emotions.
And only then can we rise above fear.
Only then can we experience Love.
