Day 66 of 100

Tonight’s episode was inspired by a conversation with my best friend. Our conversation reminded me that we don’t need to become “someone”, we just need to find our truth and bring that out. We already are ourselves.

I feel that there’s so much information coming at us telling us how to be, how to dress, how to brand ourselves and our business; what we should eat and what we "should" and "shouldn’t" do - and that’s easy to get caught up in sometimes.

There is an underlying purpose to everything that we feel moved to do - even when it seems like there are “better” things we “should” be doing with our time.

The more we cease judging ourselves and allow ourselves to be moved in the direction of what we’d love, the more aligned we are with ourselves, our truth and the flow of life.

In that flow, we don’t have to be at war with what is and we open ourselves up to new possibilities and opportunities coming to us.

Tonight I posted on Instagram an image that was a short list of Daily Choices that we can each live by.

Progress over Perfection was one of these choices that really resonated with me. It also got me thinking about the phrase "Be Your Best". I think this phrase can very possibly get confused with perfection and so, I wanted to clear that up. I wanted to be clear on what Being Your Best means in the way that I speak about it.

In order to be our best and perform at our optimum level we must start from the core of who we are. We must start from pure inspiration and move from the true feeling of love for what we do.

Yet, for many, they operate from a space of wanting to achieve something in order to “get” something from the outside world, whether that be significance, recognition, acceptance or love.
